Year after year, Forest Park Forever members support this 1,300-acre urban park, which is a finalist in the USA Today 10Best City Parks poll. The Young Friends of Forest Park Forever host an annual Golf Tournament to raise funds for the care and maintenance of the park. There is also an initiative to add basketball courts to Forest Park, and donations are welcome for this project. The ongoing multi-year project aims to complete the connection of the Park's waterways, with construction currently focused around Jefferson Lake. The Forest Park Master Plan includes making Steinberg an all-season amenity, and community input is sought for this vision.
