HJ's Youth and Community Center, located at 6425 Wornall Road in Kansas City, Missouri, is a vibrant institution that has a rich history in the Brookside and Waldo neighborhoods. Formerly known as the Southtown YMCA, this center has been a beloved community gathering spot for decades. In 1990, the property was generously donated by Kansas City business leader John Latshaw to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, and it was transformed into HJ's Youth and Community Center in honor of Latshaw's son. At HJ's, we offer a variety of activities and services for all ages.
