"I've had Dr.Smitka for a couple of years now, and I've always had good experiences there with my treatments, cleanings, etc., as well as with learning about my dental needs. Dr.Smitka is knowledgeable about current procedures, and good about explaining them. Last week, there came a difficult part in my extraction procedure, and he handled my rising panic of the moment with calmness, and addressed my fears by explaining what was happening, which was exactly what I needed to get me through it. I immediately felt acknowledged and respected and, subsequently, was calmed as we finished the extraction without mishap."

My friend recommended Westport Family Dental to me and I have had nothing but excellent service since making the switch. One of my teeth chipped when an exuberant dog accidentally knocked me in the face; Westport Family Dental fixed my smile. I had a shadow of decay in one of my molars and Dr. Smitka watched it for six months before recommending that the small cavity be removed and filled. In just a 30-minute appointment, my tooth was repaired and looked as good as new. All of the hygienists are very good. By my second cleaning, we confirmed that my decade-long dedication to my previous dental office was a bit misplaced; they hadn't taken as much care to remove plaque below the gumline as my new hygienist as evidenced by less build-up after 6-months. I feel like my dental care is in very capable hands!"
