Big Spring Park
Big Spring Park, located at 209 North High Street in Neosho, Missouri, is a picturesque park and popular tourist attraction in the area. The park is known for its unique features, including a stunning floral clock, a historic Grecian stage from the 1920s, a kids wading pool, and a trout and koi pond where visitors can enjoy feeding the fish. Big Spring Park is a favorite spot for weddings due to its natural beauty, and city officials have recently revitalized the park as a venue for community events. The history of Big Spring Park dates back to 1895 when generous donors Lee D. Bell and J.M. Sherwood donated twelve lots along the bluff of Big Spring Drive, laying the foundation for the park. The City of Neosho purchased the park in 1903 and acquired the spring in 1927 through a bond. Over the years, various additions have been made to the park, including the Grecian theater, children's wading pool, and a beautiful floral clock at the entrance.
