Originally donated by Joseph and Marie Desloge in 1961, the park has since expanded with additional land purchases and donations. The most recent donation from the grandchildren of the Desloge family has created the "Louis and Anne Desloge Werner Memorial Woods" section of the park, offering even more recreational opportunities for visitors.
