"I put a lot of faith and trust into this realtor because he seemed to know a lot about the area. It ended up that he wasn't as professional as you would expect and when you are working with a realtor and putting that kind of money into an investment they should be right alongside you not on the other side of the table going against you. Too many relationships with the other parties in a real estate transaction such as the lender, inspector, selling agent and I learned the hard way that the client came last. They're supposed to be there with you till closing and he stepped out on me the Friday before and all we had was the final walk-through. When somebody makes promises whether it's in their scope or not they should be held accountable for that but it's kind of hard to do when they won't even answer you. He made his commission and that's all it was about. It turns out there was a whole lot of stuff that wasn't quite true but you know that when they start all the fast talking. It's kind of odd that a house worth so much more than asking didn't quite appraise like that. Should have known when he stated it had been go sale for awhile cause of smoke and pointed to the fireplace. Didn't smell like smoke to me and it was an electric fireplace. That should have been my first CLUE. SO PROFESSIONAL TO NOT AIR DIRTY LAUNDRY CLEARLY MAKES IT SOUND AS IF YOU THINK THERE IS SOME TO AIR. SO MUCH FOR PROFESSIONAL but when you make promises you can't and dont intend to keep you already proved that. BUT to talk about your client like that after your behavior is even more cowardly considering you walked away because you got called out. Surprised you put it in writing as you are more to cover it up by NOT doing so"
