Longview Lake Shelter #11 is one of the 14 beautiful shelters located in Longview Lake Park, just minutes away from south Kansas City, Missouri. This park offers 930 acres of water entertainment, perfect for a fun day out with the family. Whether you enjoy power boating, water skiing, jet skiing, or a relaxing pontoon boat ride, Longview Lake has something for everyone. You can also relax on the beach, swim, or soak up the sun. The park is a popular host site for many special events organized by Jackson County Parks Rec. The full-service marina at Longview Lake offers boat rental, concessions, marine supplies, gasoline pumps, tackle, bait, and overnight or annual slip rental. The friendly staff is ready to assist with all your marine needs. Boat permits and motor permits are required for all watercraft using the Jackson County lakes and waterways, including Longview Lake. Annual permits can be purchased at the marina or Parks Rec Administration Office, while single day permits are available for purchase online.
