"They were friendly and the atmosphere is nice. They have fire pits set up and a cute dog. However the food, blah. Paper plates and plastic silverware. All the food was microwaved. Sorry but this was a one time visit."
"Love this place. I feel like this is the heart of Washington. The views are beautiful, unfortunately I was so taken by the train that is what I was taking pictures of!!! Lol. You come on in and head up to the bar where you place your order and you are usually greeted by one of the owners who are always there it seems Terry or Jerry or one of their staff who are also amazing. They make you feel like you are right at home. Beer selection is fantastic of course they also offer other drinks of the non alcoholic kind, pizza and food is also amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are ever in Washington, Missouri you should stop by and enjoy this place for a bit the Bier Deck itself will keep you coming back for years!!!"
"Would be all 5 stars if the owner wasn't such a jerk. Used to be our go to place and now we will never be back because of our last encounter with him (second time he was rude within 2 mos). If he is going to treat his customers the way he treated me, then he should just shut down the bier deck like he did the restaurant. There are plenty of places downtown that are ran or owned by great people. We will be spending our money at those places from now on."
"John G's was a great place to visit and have a beer with some friends. Their beer is locally made and is rather delicious. The environment is warm and inviting and it made for an overall great night out. The food was fantastic and and went really well with several different types of beer. I would highly recommend a visit for some great food and even better, locally made beer."
