The Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, located at 130 Edgar Road in Webster Groves, Missouri, is a renowned institution that houses both professional performing arts companies and the Conservatory of Theatre & Dance at Webster University. The center, built in 1966, was the first facility in the United States designed to accommodate both a professional acting company and an undergraduate theatre arts department. The center features a 763-seat auditorium with a three-quarter thrust stage and flexible bay seating that can expand to accommodate additional patrons for popular performances. The Repertory Theatre, one of the professional companies based at the center, recently moved into a new, state-of-the-art 454-seat house with the latest in stage technology.
