Governor's Mansion
The Governor's Mansion, located at 300 East Capitol Street in Jackson, Mississippi, is a historic institution that has been the residence of Mississippi governors and their families since 1842. Designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1975, the Mansion is one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the United States, designed by architect William Nichols. Visitors can explore the Mansion through guided tours, available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at various times. Groups are welcome, with a maximum of fifty people per tour. Reservations are required at least seventy-two hours in advance.
