The Fond Du Lac Indian Reservation, located at 1720 Big Lake Road in Cloquet, Minnesota, is a proud sovereign Ojibwe nation that upholds its rights as agreed upon in various treaties. The reservation includes three districts: Bapashkominitigong (Cloquet), Gwaaba’iganing (Sawyer), and Ashkibwaakaaning (Brookston). With over 4,000 members, the Fond Du Lac Band is actively involved in community events and initiatives, such as the recent search efforts for a missing relative. The Band activated a full Emergency Operations Center to support search and rescue efforts, and volunteers are requested to help with ongoing operations.
