The Paul D. Wellstone Federal Building, located at 212 3rd Avenue South in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a historic three-story building that was originally constructed as a U.S. Post Office in 1913. It was later transformed into a federal office building in the 1930s and now houses offices for the Department of State–Passport, HUD, Housing and Urban Development, and the National Labor Relations Board. Named after Sen. Paul Wellstone, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and covers one square block in downtown Minneapolis. It is within close proximity to the Minneapolis U.S. Courthouse and various state and city government buildings.
