Sally Manzara Interpretive Nature Center
The Sally Manzara Interpretive Nature Center, located on Entry Road in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, is a museum dedicated to educating visitors about the natural beauty of Sunfish Lake Park. The center is part of the Friends of Lake Elmo's Sunfish Lake Park organization, which is currently working on a restoration project to clear buckthorn from the park and establish a controlled burn program. The center offers exhibits, an aquarium, a play area, and a honeybee observation hive inside the building, as well as outdoor attractions such as rain gardens, an apothecary garden, and a messy play area with a sand canoe. Visitors can also enjoy five miles of walking and biking trails in the park, as well as complimentary coffee and tea at the reception desk. The center relies on donations to operate and welcomes volunteers to help with buckthorn removal work parties.
