"An absolute nightmare to deal with. I had to move unexpectedly for work and notified the property manager right away, requesting more information on what can be done to get out of my lease. I was informed that I could pay a fee to terminate my lease early and that they would need 60 days notice. Given this information, I moved forward with looking for a new apartment out of state. I signed a lease for the new apartment, provided my notice to Norhart (>60 days in advance), and they RETRACTED their initial statement and said I could no longer terminate my lease and I would have to just keep paying rent until it was leased again. They requested I pay a fee for them to work on renting my apartment which I did… however they posted my apartment as available when my lease was up instead of when I was moving out and inconsistently had my apartment listed on their website. I had to reach out to them multiple times to see what was being done to assist with renting my apartment given the fee that I paid and I would always have to wait multiple days for a response and/or send a follow up email in order to get a reply. I will also add that while being a tenant with this company, they were also extremely unorganized, would provide last minute updates that required action on the renters’ part, and they even locked me out of my apartment once stating that it was switched to a “maintenance lock”… whatever that means. Would never rent or do business with them again. Of note, I rented from Emberwood in Blaine which switched management while I was going through this. I was assured by Norhart that they would update the new company in my situation, however, that was not the case. Luckily the new company let me out of my lease since I had served my 60 days notice and paid two extra months rent while Norhart was still overseeing my building."

"I lived in the Mill Pond apartments for almost 4 years and it truly was my home. Throughout my time there I always felt part of a community, and not just another rent check. I was in a 2 bedroom with in unit laundry and I feel the price was very reasonable. Staff are professional and communicative, which I appreciated a lot. My only reason for moving was because my partner bought a house, otherwise I would've been completely content with calling Mill Pond my home for may more years."

"I moved from the the Encore to Legacy apts. Owned by Norhart...I have lived her almost 3 years. Recently moved into a newly remodeled apt. I feel so special and loved . This apt is totally what I needed. The staff here are the most amazing wonderful people in the world. I consider them my family. Kindest, most caring community in forest lake. I give this 100 stars. Jill the community manager is the kindest person in the world I feel so safe here and happy. Come join our. Community its amazing. Jill has done so much to care for her residents. Its unbelievable!!!!!!"
