Rushford Area Historical
The Rushford Area Historical Society, located at 401 South Elm Street in Rushford, Minnesota, has exceeded their fundraising goal of $5,000 with the generous support of members, the community, and history enthusiasts. Thanks to matching donations from Rushford State Bank, Merchant’s Bank, and the Rushford Community Foundation, the institution has added $23,485 to their building fund for the restoration of the Rushford Depot. This project, supported by the Minnesota Historical Society and the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, has been recommended for funding by the Historic Resources Advisory Committee. The Rushford Area Historical Society's mission is to discover, collect, promote, and share knowledge of the Rushford area's historical legacy through the preservation of structures and artifacts.
