"My cat is in his end of life stages at 17.5 years old. He has been being treated for kidney disease for over five years. We got the news that he is in stage four kidney failure at this appointment. Vet Cindy did not fully read my primary vets emailed records, and she sent me home without all the necessary medications to treat him. She then left me an urgent voicemail that I need to call her back to get this medication. I called back many times in a row because the recording says to keep trying if it’s urgent. I was panicked from her voicemail and that was amplified by the fact that they do not answer phone calls. They did not let me know in the voicemail, but when I finally got through to Cindy she let me know that they don’t have anyone to answer calls except vet Cindy and she has to go away from the phone for clients. Having only one person to answer phones on top of their job isn’t fair, and it’s not fair to not answer when asked for an urgent call back. Once I did get Cindy on the phone she said that my primary emailed over more records, which is conflicting to what she said over voicemail, I don’t know which is true. My cat is in his end of life and the way I was spoken down to when trying to get clarification on my cats options. I was spoken to and treated as if I am not trying to treat my cats illness, which would just never be the case. I don’t know how many times she cut me off to say “Well, this needs to be treated” when I was openly trying to discuss the best treatment option for my animal and explain his hurdles. It was completely inappropriate. In the appointment she told me his past tumor like growth in his neck was like rainbows and unicorns to her, because she never felt the issue herself. She couldn't find it in his records even though it has been documented by my primary. I’ve never had a vet deny a past diagnoses like that, and she wouldn’t look into the issue for me any further because she decided it was make believe. Really strange. The visit itself took about four and a half hours, not including checking in in the morning. They had me come back at 11am and they weren’t able to see me until after 2pm. This was hard on my cat being sick, and on me with my own health issues. I understand getting backed up but any amount of communication or heads up would have been appreciated in those those three hours, I could have had my cat more comfortable in the car to wait that long. As a pet owner I am doing everything I can to get him treatment during this which will likely be his last week of earthly existence. I do appreciate Cindy going back through and finding her mistake, and having me come back in the next day to pickup the correct medication, it is clear her heart is in the right place despite all the difficulties present. I talked to their counselor while there and she is amazing. The facility is nice. I hope that this message is taken seriously and that they can improve their treatment of senior pets and pet owners. I’ve never had these issues in the past and I hope no one else has to deal with being treated like this when entering end of life stages."
"Dear Staff and Our Friends, I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible care and support we received for Rocky. The journey we've been on with Rocky has been nothing short of extraordinary, and words cannot adequately convey the depth of what he means to our family. Some may say that having a pet is a luxury, but for us, Rocky was an integral part of our lives. He belonged to my beloved son, who tragically passed away in an accident at the age of 32. Rocky wasn't just a pet; he was my son's world, alongside his faithful companion Daisy. When Rocky fell ill, I found myself tirelessly searching for veterinary care, reaching out to countless clinics in the hopes of finding help. Despite the financial strain, I was determined to do everything in my power to ensure Rocky received the best care possible. It was a daunting task, but with each setback, I persevered, fueled by love and the unwavering bond we shared. I can't begin to express the relief I felt when we finally found a vet who not only diagnosed Rocky's condition but also worked tirelessly with us to provide the care he needed. Throughout those long nights and endless drives, Rocky remained our guiding light, reminding us of the profound love and connection we shared. Rocky not only means the world to me but also to my grandson and the rest of our family. He was Andy's cherished companion, his "big boy," and his presence brought immeasurable joy and comfort to us all. To everyone who played a part in Rocky's journey, from the dedicated veterinarians to the kind-hearted strangers who offered support and assistance, we extend our deepest gratitude from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness and compassion have been a blessing, and we are forever grateful for the role you've played in Rocky's life. As we continue on this journey with Rocky, we do so with profound gratitude and the knowledge that his legacy will live on in our hearts forever. With heartfelt thanks,"
"I brought my 1 year old dog, who is generally quite anxious, to Mission’s urgent care for a laceration caused by a dog bite. I got there at 7:30am to join the queue (waited in line for about 20-25 minutes; their staff checked in a couple of times to make sure those in line were stable) and was given an appointment time at 9:30am. Once we came back, it was about an hour until he was seen (which they communicated might happen ahead of time). During our wait, we were able to get records sent from our primary vet that indicated that he is fearful/dog reactive. The front desk staff went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable - even brought him a blanket to lay on! Once we were called back, the vet tech and veterinarian that we worked with were incredibly helpful and attentive to his anxiety. They informed me about the costs ahead of time, provided information on their payment options, and made sure all questions were answered along the way. After the surgery was complete, I went back to pick him up and they gave very clear post-op instructions and all of the medications (and cone) that he needed to heal. This is our first dog and first urgent care experience and I can confidently say we will continue to be patients when needed for urgent care services. All of their staff were kind, helpful, and supportive and made the best out of a stressful situation. Thank you Mission AH staff!!!"
"I just wanted to share my experience while also giving this team a HUGE thank you. I brought my dog in right before the holidays due to him starting to limp on his back leg. They took such good care of us and were so kind even from the moment we checked in. My dog usually loves the vet but his last visit was being dropped off at a clinic to get neutered and that must have been a little scary for him because when we went to sit in the waiting area he was shaking and super anxious about being there. The staff even at the front desk came over to say hi and let him take his time to greet them and helped him get comfortable which is just really a huge deal in my opinion. When they took him in the back for x-rays, they were very kind with how they handled him and he came back happy and wagging his tail and then even relaxed and fell asleep on the floor next to me while we waited for results. Unfortunately he will need surgery but I am very confident and comfortable with this team’s decision and know he’s going to get the best care. It’s absolutely scary leaving him in the hands of others even more than most pets I have had since he was actually trained for me by a service dog program to preform tasks that mitigate my disability. I’m sad I’ll be without his help while he recovers but am so happy I took him in so he can get the best care and get better quick! I also am so thankful they can offer a payment plan so that I’m able to get this procedure done for him! Thank you from both Stitch and I!"
"Best vet place in the cities hands down. Staff are a joy to interact with and treat the animals with love and compassion. The quality of care is unmatched in the vets I've taken my baby to. They don't rob you with the bill as other vets often do(I'm throwing ALL the shade), the prices are reasonable and they will help you set up payment plans if you can't afford care on your own."
