Empire Room
The Empire Room, located at 115 East Main Street in Anoka, Minnesota, is a historic bar with a fascinating backstory. Originally established as the “Empire Saloon” in 1858 by Daniel D. Dudley, it quickly became a target of the temperance movement in the area. After facing opposition and even a fire that destroyed the original saloon, Dudley eventually left town, leaving behind a legacy that is now honored by the Empire Room. Today, the Empire Room is available for private events, offering seating for up to 80 guests or standing room for up to 100. Rentals include private restrooms, bar service, and a bride ready room. The space can also be used for live music, comedy shows, and more when not rented out.
