Originally founded in 1899 as the Washtenaw Golf Club, it is the third oldest golf course in Michigan. The course features 18 holes of par 72 golf with a length of 6,512 yards from the longest tees. The founders of the club, Cora Henry, I. Newton Swift, and Daniel L. Quirk Jr., started with just three empty tomato cans in a hay field and eventually transformed it into a private golf club. Over the years, the club has attracted top business, professional, and government leaders from Washtenaw County.
