"I was having sever knee pain in both my knees.i was going to Baraga but since l have been there too many times for this. They said they can't help me anymore. I called to Portage and try to talk a doctor about my knees. They said they can't help me I barely can't walk anywhere due this pain. All UP hospitals are a joke We are just a paycheck to those doctors. They don't care about anything or anyone. I would rather slit my throat before let any of you touch me because you won't do s damn thing"
"Billing is a nightmare. I am being billed $492.02 for a Covid test. I was seen April of 2022 for a flu and Covid test. Now over a year later I have received a bill for over $300. On top of this I have already paid $177 for the same visit. I have insurance that should have covered everything (someone else on my plan got a Covid test that was covered downstate). I have called almost every number possible to try to get any information and no one has helpful answers."
"I had some gastrointestinal issues. I went to the ER and was seen by nurse Lisa and Doug. I was seen in less than 10 minutes. An average of 2 to 3 hours is more the normal wait, where I am from. Feeling horrible, I was greeted by a nice warm blanket. They were both caring and professional and made me relaxed and taken care of. I would be back anytime. Dr. Player was great. I thought it would be a waste of my time. I was that glad I went. I felt much better."
"If I could give my experience with Dr. Ronquist 0 stars, I would. Horrible bedside manner, no explanations, zero empathy, no care for pain level, etc. Do not go to this doctor with injuries, he will ignore your input and has no care for your pain. My broken finger was reset three separate times with no numbing or gentleness. Over three weeks, none of his solutions helped and I ended up needing surgery (which I received from a new and competent doctor). This injury has been very troublesome while in school, and I’ve now been set back another three weeks. If you can learn from my experience, do not waste your time with this doctor."
"Every staff member I dealt with today was awesome! Gentlemen that volunteers at information was very helpful! The MRI nurses Crystal and Ashley were compassionate, kind and efficient! Got right in for my appointment and it was a long one today. Very patient ladies! Thank you"
