Duncan Bay Nature Preserve
Duncan Bay Nature Preserve, located at 829 Duncan Avenue in Cheboygan, Michigan, is a stunning park and tourist attraction that offers a unique opportunity to explore Lake Huron shore wetlands. This diverse ecosystem is home to a variety of migratory waterfowl and other water-dependent species, making it a vital area for conservation efforts. The original purchase of the land was made in 2014, with subsequent acquisitions funded through donations and a grant from Huron Pines. Additional funding was raised to construct a boardwalk and bridge, which was completed in the summer of 2019 and dedicated on August 24th of that year.

It is the perfect spot to take a leisurely stroll, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of nature. In addition to its natural beauty, Wahby Park is also a popular venue for weddings and wedding photoshoots. Residents can obtain a park permit to use the space for one hour on Fridays and Saturdays between 1-4 p.m. It is recommended to reserve a specific day and time for your event in advance. The park permit is provided at no cost to residents.
Blossom Heath Park
Blossom Heath Park, located at 24800 Jefferson Avenue in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, is a popular destination for residents and visitors alike. Throughout the year, Blossom Heath Park hosts a variety of events, including the Tunnel of Lights, Aquafreeze, Aqua Fest, and more. In addition to the park amenities, Blossom Heath is home to the historic Blossom Heath Inn, a picturesque venue available for rent for weddings, conferences, reunions, and other special occasions. Residents can purchase park passes at the Parks & Recreation front desk inside the Civic Arena, allowing access to the waterfront parks. Non-residents are not eligible for park passes, but special events like Music By the Lake and Farmers Market are open to all.
