The Greening of Detroit - Lafayette Greens is a beautiful park located at 132 West Lafayette Boulevard in Detroit, Michigan. This non-profit organization is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Detroiters by planting trees, providing job training, and educating our youth about the natural environment. Through community engagement, green spaces, education, and job opportunities, The Greening of Detroit is inspiring sustainable growth and a healthier urban community. Since 1989, over 147,000 trees have been planted in the City of Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park by The Greening of Detroit. They continue to plant trees along city streets, residential areas, and in parks and playgrounds.
