Fisher Hall
Fisher Hall, located at 1400 Townsend Drive in Houghton, Michigan, is home to the Departments of Physics and Mathematical Sciences. Named after former head of the physics department, James Fisher, the building was constructed in 1962. Fisher Hall is a popular choice for first-year students, who attend classes in this facility. One of the main features of Fisher Hall is the large lecture hall, Fisher 135, which can accommodate 476 individuals. Located in the southeast corner of the building, Fisher 135 also serves as the campus movie theater on most weekends. The Michigan Tech Film Board screens recent movies at a low cost for students, staff, faculty, and community members.
