Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Detroit - Dearborn, an IHG Hotel

"It was comfortable and nothing wrong while I stayed there for a week. The front desk guys were great especially Nasir, he was helpful and accommodating Rooms were great, service was top as everyday they’ll clean the room, change the towels and make sure everything is in order. Breakfast is quite boring with same stuff each day everyday, I was quite disappointed when they kept repeating the same items everyday. Location is great due to its proximity to airport , Detroit and Dearborn downtown Please don’t buy the water bottles from them, I ran out of water and bought two 500 ml water bottles , each costed me $3 Can you imaging paying $3 for a 500ml water bottle, I bought a can of 36 water bottles from Walmart which is like 2 minutes away for $3.75 That’s the only reason I am giving 3 stars as they should have complementary water for guests"

"I am staying here for work for the week. The location is super convenient with shopping, dining, and a gym within less than a mile. My room is very clean and comfortable, and the staff have been very friendly and professional. I have seen some bad reviews on here, but I find them questionable. If you're staying in a hotel, be respectful and remember there are other people staying here. If you are being loud and leave the room messy, you get what you get. I will be staying here again when I come back. Very nice hotel and staff."

"I arrived at the hotel at the designated check-in time of 3 pm only to be informed that my room wouldn't be ready for another hour. Surprisingly, the room had been assigned to another guest who checked in earlier. I expressed my concern to the reception, emphasizing that such a situation seemed incongruent with the 3 pm check-in time. Unfortunately, my concerns were met with complete disregard, as the staff refused to engage in conversation or provide any updates. The lack of communication and apparent rudeness from the staff was disheartening. To exacerbate the situation, the manager remained unresponsive until we actively sought updates. When we finally obtained the room after a one-hour delay, we encountered additional issues – the TV was non-functional, the room was in disarray with spills of juice, and the washroom was unclean. This entire experience stands out as the worst encountered to date. In light of these circumstances, I am seeking a refund for my stay. Furthermore, I've noticed a pending charge of two nights on my credit card, despite having paid and utilized my points well in advance. I kindly request that you address and rectify these issues promptly."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Dearborn. This hotel is brand new, so its in great shape, and the staff is very polite and friendly. The rooms are very clean, and quite spacious. The beds are soft and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was exceptional as well, many options for all types of diets. There was a nice 50' TV in the room, we had absolutely no complaints about our stay here, I would recommend it to anyone."

"This was the worst experience I ever had at any hotel in my life. They lied on me to keep my deposit. My son turned 5 years old and I took my 5 children to the hotel which was not a party. So the downstairs woman’s bathroom was very nasty and did not flush. For dinner I ordered pizza for my children. Fast forward the next morning I slightly cleaned the room and put all the dirty towels in one pile. I go down to de my 200 dollar deposit back and they tell me that they can’t give me my deposit because of pizza stains being on the bed. I ask them if I could see the room to take pictures which I did it was a little stain from my special needs child eating nothing that they can’t wash out. I go back to tell the manger that this is not a damaged to the room he goes to tell me he will call the police on me to have me removed which was uncalled for I was not confrontational at all. I call corporate to tell them the issue which they tell me they are going with the hotel and not give me my deposit back despite me telling them I had photos and evidence to prove them wrong. I feel I was being racially profiled and judged by the size of my family. I’m a single mother and I always take my children to this hotel to get away for them to do this to me is wrong and unethical."
