Ypsilanti Freighthouse
The Ypsilanti Freighthouse, located at 100 Market Place in Ypsilanti, Michigan, is a historic building that has been transformed into a vibrant community center. Situated next to Frog Island Park in Depot Town, the Freighthouse is a hub for various activities including the Depot Town Farmers Market, a café, and community meetings and events. Listed in the National Register of Historic Sites, the building had to close in 2004 due to its condition, but thanks to the efforts of the Friends of the Ypsilanti Freighthouse and the City, it has been restored and reopened for public use. Managed by the City of Ypsilanti since April 2020, the Freighthouse is now available for both community and private events. Please note that the building is not available for rental in the months of April and September.
