Thomas Edison's Fort Myers Laboratory
Thomas Edison's Fort Myers Laboratory, located on Christie Street in Dearborn, Michigan, is a historic institution where Thomas Edison conducted his groundbreaking experiments. This well-equipped laboratory allowed Edison to continue his investigations while taking a break from his other responsibilities. Originally built in Fort Myers, Florida in 1886, the laboratory was later moved to Greenfield Village and used by Ford Motor Company engineers in the 1930s to develop the Ford V-8 engine.
