A. Paul Schaap Science Center
The A. Paul Schaap Science Center at Hope College in Holland, Michigan is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to undergraduate science education. Centennial Park
Centennial Park, located at 250 Central Avenue in Holland, Michigan, is a charming park and popular tourist attraction. Established in 1876, this 5.6 acre park was originally the village market area before being redeveloped for park use. The park features a rustic 20-foot fountain donated by Dutch Immigrant Teunis TenHouten in 1902, designed and built by Johannes Van Lente. Underground restrooms were added in 1904, with a bandstand built on top in 1907. In 1988, Mayor Philip Tanis led a Buy-a-Brick campaign to pave the park's walks. Over the years, Centennial Park has seen various enhancements, including a gazebo donated by the Holland Area Home Builders Association in 1991 and Victorian lighting installed by the City of Holland to maintain the park's Victorian theme. The park is dog-friendly, providing a great space for visitors to enjoy with their furry companions.
