Institute of Archaeology & Siegfried H. Horn Museum
β OpenThe Institute of Archaeology & Siegfried H. Horn Museum, located in Berrien Springs, Michigan, is a fascinating museum and tourist attraction. The museum, part of Andrews University, is home to over 8,500 ancient Near-Eastern artifacts such as coins, pottery, sculptures, tools, weapons, figurines, jewelry, seals, and glass vessels. Additionally, the museum houses over 3,000 ancient cuneiform tablets from Sumerian times through the Achaemenid period. The museum is currently open to the public on Saturdays from 3:00-5:00 pm during the university's session (closed during Summer and Winter breaks). Visitors can also schedule appointments to view the exhibits during normal Institute office hours. The museum also sponsors a lecture series for those interested in learning more about archaeology and ancient history.
