"Damage to vehicle, and blatant lies from rep, on the invoice, and after returning to speak with management. I highly recommend avoiding this poor excuse of a dealership. Specific example (Only scheduled for new tires): Phone call while in service stating motor mount was incorrectly installed. They charged $25 for a nut and $75 for installation of said nut. Only found out the details from the mechanic firsthand when I returned and inspected myself. After returning home ("

"Well where should I start .went to have my car looked at they told me no appointment needed .I arrived was stuck in garage,was late for work .Then told they wouldn't be able to work on my car ,needed a part.Told me it was from me driving dirt roads,rubber molding around back tire .Also told me sorry my warranty was expired in November,which I told them that weird since I didn't buy the car til December.Then waited for them to call me for an appointment.Once I showed up for the appointment my low tire symbol popped on.i mentioned to them to look at it because they put new tires on before I bought car.They told me they maintain them. They wanted 20.00 to rotate my tires! If I buy them the company that put them on maintains them for free,and rotates them .They told me they inspection is the freebee for getting them.Sad.......Also they told me I was 1000 over my oil change ,and needed an engine repair kit added to oil change and wanted 250.00 for that .I told them just do the job I told them just do the job I asked I ll take it to my mechanic.when I got home I took it to an oil change place ,they didn't want to give me an oil change because my oil was synthetic and was honey colored and was good .I'm very disappointed that Lafontaine Subaru would be so desperate for money. I bought this Subaru Forester after many people telling me how great the Subaru experience is,and how dependable they are.Also they wanted me to flush my brake fluid which I had only put on bout 6000 miles .Then I realized they don't maintain the cars that are leased out ,and that the new owners of the leased used cars get to pay for the leased cars maintenance.Ive bought plenty of used cars from all kinds of Dealerships which all but this one give you bumper to bumper warranty to 100,000 miles .I would expect more from Subaru.I know I will never go back to there place anymore."

"It was a horrible experience. It all started with my oil light coming on in my 2021 wrx that I get oil changes every 3500 miles at this same dealership. I get there the service manager tells me we will do an oil consumption test. He said they put tamper proof stickers on everything and told me to come back at a certain mileage. I pop the hood no tamper proof stickers and my coolant is empty. I tell them you guys refilled my washer fluid but never checked the coolant??? On an oil consumption test?! The service tech comes out says the tech is having a bad day…. Fast forward to the day I need them to check the oil level. I get there at around 11 on Saturday and was rudely asked by a black haired lady if I have oppontment… no I’m just here for you to check my dipstick. Service manager interrupts an says we don’t have any techs come back another day. He wouldn’t even look at me. Can’t wait to talk to someone about this"

"I have been a loyal customer with La Fontaine Subaru since I purchased my Crosstrek in 2018. Recently, I noticed that my car was occasionally requiring multiple turns of the key before the engine would turn over. Concerned, I asked the service technicians to run a diagnostic check during my November 2022 routine oil change. The technicians were unable to replicate or diagnose a problem but recommended a new battery which I purchased. Fast forward one month, I leave my night shift nursing job on Christmas morning to find my car with lights and radio but unable to start in an extremely low clearance Detroit parking garage. And due to the winter storm, AAA was unable to provide any type of towing assistance for the undetermined future. I reached on bright and early on Monday morning to La Fontaine seeking assistance. Which, led me to the service center manager, John. Not only did he meet me in Detroit to evaluate my car situation and tracked down a backordered starter. But, he again came back to Detroit at a time convenient to my erratic nursing schedule and replaced the starter in the parking garage. I expected that La Fontaine would stand by their previous diagnosis of the car and fix the starter, but I was amazed by the level of service that went above and beyond what I had any right to expect! La Fontaine Subaru and especially John exceeded everything I would want and hope for from a service center and dealership!"
