Temple B'Nai Shalom
● OpenWelcome to Temple B'Nai Shalom, a vibrant and inclusive place of worship located in the heart of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Situated at 2050 Broadway, our synagogue is dedicated to fostering a rich Jewish life for our congregation, nurturing a supportive community, and being a source of blessing to our neighbors. At Temple B'Nai Shalom, we proudly house the remarkable Lion of Judah sculpture, a masterpiece by renowned artist John Kearney. Crafted from chrome auto bumpers, this majestic piece was inspired by the Lion of Judah sub-species once residing at Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo. Commissioned in memory of former Temple President David Goldstein, and later his wife Rose Kirshenbaum Goldstein, this beloved sculpture has been a source of joy and a symbol of strength and compassion for nearly half a century.
