Bowen Elementary School is a primary school located at 4483 Kalamazoo Avenue Southeast in Kentwood, Michigan, United States. This week marks the beginning of our celebration of Black History Month, where we will honor the past and celebrate the future by recognizing the contributions of African Americans to this country. Throughout the month, we will explore different individuals each day, including those in the arts, inventors, scientists, and more. In the final week, we will focus on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their influence on the African American community. At Bowen, we believe in valuing each individual as unique and different, regardless of ability or background. We strive to create a cohesive team of staff, students, and parents working towards the common goal of learning.
