"Feb 9, 2023 - Massive decoration cleanup in Shawsheen Cemetery. I have never seen that many DPW workers in the cemetery, ever, for any cleanup or maintenance. Sign at cemetery entrance says "All Decorations to be removed by March 1" - unable to post picture right now. Feb 10, 2023 - Sign at cemetery entrance with respect to Decorations is removed - unable to post picture right now. Shawsheen Cemetery is an active recreational area. It has been abused and neglected for years. If you want peace and serenity for you and your loved ones, bury them someplace else. Need a place to hide out for a night in your car? Need a place to have a discrete smoke several times a day? Need a place to park and meet another new mother to walk your infants? Need a place to scooter with your friends? Need a place for a jog? Need a place to walk your dog either leashed or unleashed? Need a place to ride your bike with your children and unleashed dog? Need a place to park your car to access one of the town's trail systems? Need a place to park your car for your daily walk and to speak freely on your mobile device? This is Shawsheen Cemetery. In one month."

"I went to visit my Dad on Father's Day and I was shocked at how awful the area looked! There wasn't a blade of grass to be seen , just a dry dustbowl full of weeds. I live in FL so I can't care for his grave are . I am livid that there is no care for our beloved family!"
