Drs. Scannell & Hollinger, Inc: Dr. Julia Reilly

"On July 26, 2019 I had a root canal performed by Dr. Julia Reilly. I live in New York, but found the two dentist I had been to here in NY, just did not meet or exceed the expectations I had due to having Dr. Reilly as my dentist in the past. So I traveled 4 hours back to see her for the root canal. I can not pour my heart out enough about the attention to detail and care that Dr. Reilly puts into each of her cases. My prior dentist told me I had no cracks and nothing wrong with my tooth, but the amount of pain I was in said otherwise. Dr. Reilly the whole step of the way made sure I was comfortable and couldn't feel anything. She made sure that the tooth she was working on was in fact the correct tooth that I was experiencing the root pain from by consistently checking, and taking x-rays to make sure she was thorough. She is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and there needs to be credit where credit is due; Dr. Reilly develops a plan and takes action; she never once made me feel insecure that she wasn't able to help me. I think that's what makes her work and professionalism a step above the rest in her field and area. She made sure I was taken care of and had no issues after the root canal as well. It was so painless, I was able to eat beef jerky a couple hours after (sorry Dr. Reilly, but I had no pain and I was hungry LOL!). Having heard the horror stories of root canals, I was so beyond impressed that I experienced nothing like the horror stories that Google provided me with. Great office, friendly and kind staff, clean facility, and very easy to get to (even from NY)! I would travel to see Dr. Reilly every single time for my oral health care needs because the service is simply that incredible."

"I recently had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Julia Reilly at the office of Drs. Scannell & Hollinger Inc. in East Longmeadow Massachusetts, when I chipped my tooth. I found Dr. Reilly to be incredibly gentle, patient, and thorough in her process of fixing my tooth. She is the type of doctor that explains what she’s doing during her procedure which I took comfort in and highly respect. It’s not often you always find a doctor that’s willing to do so, or has the time to answer any and all questions. Not only is she a funny and quick witted doctor, she is also incredibly talented with the cosmetics of dentistry and wanting to provide the best all around care to her patients. While I was there the question of straightening my teeth came up. We had a great in-depth discussion about the new Smile Direct Club you see advertised on the internet or social media. She introduced me to Dr. Keith Hollinger and he explained how a lot of these companies that are supplying consumers with invisible teeth aligners are actually creating potential bigger issues for the future of the teeth. The proper care or monitoring of services like an orthodontist would provide for a service like Invisalign, isn’t directly or consistently available with services like Smile Direct. It was absolutely fascinating and eye opening to have the science behind the aligning of your teeth explained, and how it’s absolutely necessary to work with professionals and not go the internet gimmick, cheap, quick-fix route. Not only did I walk away with a perfectly fixed tooth, but a lot of knowledge in regards to the investment of my oral health. I absolutely recommend coming to this wonderful office as you will receive excellent care and information to make the best choices possible. Kudos to this team of professionals and the staff, you guys are great!!!!!"
