The Coast Guard Heritage Museum, located at 3353 Main Street in Barnstable, Massachusetts, is a museum dedicated to telling the story of the U.S. Coast Guard from a Cape Cod perspective. As one of only two free-standing museums in the country focused on Coast Guard history, we are proud to occupy the historic 1856 U.S. Customs House in Barnstable. Our mission is to celebrate the deep and rich legacy of the Coast Guard on Cape Cod, showcasing its important role in protecting shores, rescuing distressed seamen, enforcing laws, and promoting safety at sea.
