Unique artistic hotel in Northampton, Massachusetts

Performing Arts Abroad is a unique institution located at 17 New South Street in Northampton, Massachusetts, United States. The institution offers a three-week dance training program in Ghana, where participants can learn West African dance, gyil music, drumming, singing, and various traditional crafts such as batik making and kente weaving. The program also includes workshops on xylophone and drum making, as well as opportunities to volunteer at local schools and with community groups. Participants will stay in dormitory-style accommodations at the dance and music center, located in a residential area called Medie on the outskirts of Accra. The center provides modern amenities such as electricity, running water, and hot showers. Meals are shared in a communal dining room or outside at picnic tables.
