"Ran over a median out in Needham and had to get it towed. The tow company recommended this mechanic shop, claiming them to be ‘honest’ and ‘fair.’ After inspecting and diagnosing my vehicle it was clear that I broke my rack and pinion assembly and it would need to be replaced. I was appalled when the mechanic told me it would be a total of $4000 just in parts!! I would just take it to the dealership if I wanted to get robbed like that. After a brief google search I found the part between $400 and $600. Absolutely disgusting by this shop. Do not even bother giving them a try they will just try and take advantage of you and hope you are desperate enough. I ended up having it towed all the way to my main mechanic in Somerville. (Dinos Auto Repair) They will charge me $422 for the part and $250 for labor. Its mechanics like these scumbags that make things so stressful for folks. Needing car repairs is already nerve racking enough. Having to then deal with sleazy snake mechanics is an unnecessary added stress. Might as well go to the dealership before coming to these scammers!"
