Nantucket Island Surf School, located at 1 Dirt Rd in Nantucket, Massachusetts, is the premier surf school on the island. Established in 1999, the school offers private and group lessons, as well as week-long mini camps for kids, at Cisco Beach. Owner Gary "Kona" Kohner, a Nantucket native with extensive surfing experience, leads a team of instructors certified in CPR and first aid. The school provides all necessary equipment, including boards and wetsuits, for a safe and enjoyable surfing experience. In addition to surfing lessons, the school also offers standup paddle boarding lessons. Surfboard, standup paddle board, and wetsuit rentals are available at Cisco Beach. With a focus on safety, professionalism, and fun, Nantucket Island Surf School aims to provide a memorable surfing experience for students of all ages and skill levels.
