"Dear Island Creek Village (The Bodi), I wanted to thank you for your response to my application for housing. I understand that the great news of being on the waiting list is contingent to estimated availability and further screening processes and maybe more . Even so I am excited to at least be on a waiting list and I thank you kindly for this first step decision that has given me hope of the possibility to one day be part of your amazing community. To all those who have been frustrated waiting for a phone call or letter of some sort , none of this is a quick process anywhere for anything. Waiting is challenging but it's never because they or others don't care. This has been a long long process for me as well and it did not start with this Villiage. I've had a lot of no's myself but it has to be a process for a reason and I'm fully aware that even this isn't a guarantee I wish all those who have posted the best and just know you havent been singled out if you are waiting it's just cause we all wait . "No complainsT all , but yet a suggestion to number parkings for tenants , since there is people that come and park over night for days from outside not been tenants or having a resident sticker, don't even know if property pay a tow truck to check around but they don't even come around . Will also love to see the property to run a extend back ground on people that want to be resident ,since there is people here that have drug habit and you can feel the smell as you walk on hallways, other than that I love my place and the office people it's great like Michelle De Melo 100 to .her. thank you very much."

"During my two year stay my family had experienced nothing but problems. There was a raid, a huge widespread mold problem, rent increases, issues with the staff, and drugs and violence. Our main issue with the maintenance staff was them letting themselves into our apartment without any notice. My husband stayed home from work one day and someone let themselves right in while my husband was in the kitchen. Absolutely no notice whatsoever. After an apartment inspection they discovered some things needed to be fixed, again without notice, they walked right in while we were at work to repair them. They never let us know they were coming prior or after the work had been done. I only noticed because my door was fixed. Another instance was a day they were going to be in the apartment for AC maintenance they turned the AC down to the lowest setting and instead of turning it off when they were done they kept it on all day while we were at work, while our windows and doors were open. So we paid to keep our AC cranking for no reason. The most notable offense was when staff mistakenly walked into the wrong apartment and I was breastfeeding my newborn in the living room. Instead of apologizing he walked out like it never happened, I had to get up and wake my baby to see what had just happened. When I spoke to a head member at Beacon about this his response was, "Well, was your door unlocked?" Unbelievable. The drugs and violence were ongoing during my two year stay. The Duxbury police were there nearly everyday, sometimes more than once. Drugs were being dealt from within our building, multiple complaints had been made and we saw no change. One night I woke up to the sound of three women fighting in the parking lot while two men just watched. There was multiple aggressive dogs living in the building. I had a dog jump on me, bark at me, and scratch me on more than one occasion while I was pregnant. The only reason that dog is gone is because the owner moved. There was also a very large pitbull living next door to us while we moved out. The owner had very little control over him as he'd pull his leash and lunge and bark at us. It made me very uncomfortable to be in the hallway at the same time as them while carrying my infant. Our rent was increased when we renewed and they tried to increase it again but we decided to leave. We were already paying a hefty price to live there, I can't fathom why they think we would pay more yet again while no improvements were being made. While apartments sat vacant they started offering people much less in rent while trying to increase ours. Someone under me was paying $1600 for the same apartment that we were paying almost 2 grand for! Overall, I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially families. Island Creek puts on a good show about being a safe, quiet, family friendly environment but it is anything but. Stay away!"

"I love it here. My apartment is my home! Besides a few parking issues that I had in the past (resolved!), I have no complaints. The maintenance crew is super nice and I really appreciate them. Office management is attentive and professional. Kudos to Joe and Nayrobi for doing a great job!"
