Sailor safety navigation aid in Eastham, Massachusetts

The Three Sisters Lighthouses, located on Cable Road in Eastham, Massachusetts, United States, are a historic and charming tourist attraction. Originally built in 1838 to guide sailors safely along the Cape Cod shores, the three 15-foot high masonry towers gained the nickname “The Three Sisters” due to their resemblance to women in white dresses with black hats. Over the years, the towers were moved inland and eventually decommissioned, but their legacy lives on. One of the towers now stands as the latest iteration of the Nauset Lights, while another has been transformed into a cozy cottage. The National Park Service purchased the third tower in 1975 and reunited all three towers on a plot of land on Cable Road.
