● OpenHartsuff Park, located at 146 Hingham Street in Rockland, Massachusetts, is a 16.5-acre town-owned park with a variety of amenities. The park features a playground, a 9-hole disc golf course, nature trails, a swimming beach, and athletic fields, all set in a wooded environment. Managed by the Rockland Youth Commission, the park also includes a small swimming pond with a sandy beach for Rockland residents only, complete with lifeguards during specified hours. The park is named after Major General George L. Hartsuff, and has historical significance dating back to the days of the Grand Army of the Republic. The park's nature trail offers a peaceful walk through the woods, with additional trails from the disc golf course providing a mile-long trek. The park is surrounded by oak, beech, pine, and yellow birch trees, draining into Cushing Brook and ultimately the North River system. Visitors can enjoy benches, picnic tables, grills, a Little Free Library, athletic fields, and a bathhouse during the season. Parking is available at both the Hingham Street and Hartsuff Street entrances.
