Fort Andrews
● OpenFort Andrews, located on Peddocks Island in the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area, was established in 1897 as part of the Endicott System of Coastal Defenses. Unlike traditional masonry forts, Fort Andrews consisted of support buildings and batteries equipped with modern artillery.
