"As a dedicated athlete, one that has always been so strong and healthy, I never thought for one minute that I would be THAT person who would need back surgery for any reason. Yet, here I am to tell you that I had an very successful experience with the multi level laminectomy and disc excision in June 2017. In addition to a very successful surgery, I was treated with kindness and respect at every visit and at MetroWest Framingham Union Hospital. I am just over 4 months post op and I successfully ran a 30 hour race (Oct 2017) in which I completed 60 miles in 16 hours, essentially pain free....I call that a success. "Dr. Nirmel took the time & care needed during our first cosultation going over 1 year of my medical records and MRI's patiently listening and explaining to me everything that he could see and also finding issues that 4 other neurosurgeons overlooked by viewing on a large vivid screen where he was able to show clearly while explaining. He is a consistant and thorough perfectionist and most humble genius. I thank God I found him through a referral from my father who Dr. Nirmel treated successfully. I was able to see him the same day I called for my appointment and he was able to book my surgery soon after to fix and aleviate my pain through minimally invasive microsurgery that I had lived with for over 1 year.
