Responding to a report of gunfire, our officers apprehended five individuals and recovered four firearms, along with the dangerous synthetic drug Fentanyl, without any injuries. Under the leadership of Chief Brenda I. Perez, appointed in 2022, our department continues to foster strong community ties. Chief Perez, a Brockton native and U.S. Army Reserves veteran, has dedicated over two decades to serving the City of Brockton. Her vision emphasizes collaboration and community engagement, as seen in events like the Senior Picnic and the First Responder Jamboree. These initiatives, in partnership with local organizations, provide an opportunity for families to connect with our officers in a positive and fun environment.
