The park is named after Major General George L. Hartsuff, and has historical significance dating back to the days of the Grand Army of the Republic. The park's nature trail offers a peaceful walk through the woods, with additional trails from the disc golf course providing a mile-long trek. The park is surrounded by oak, beech, pine, and yellow birch trees, draining into Cushing Brook and ultimately the North River system. Parking is available at both the Hingham Street and Hartsuff Street entrances.
