"I absolutely would not get service from here. I had the same experience as another reviewer. I went for a routine cleaning (my first time going there) and the hygienist broke my fixed retainer and also did not acknowledge that he broke it. I have had this permanent retainer for 16 years and have not once had an issue with it nor has any hygienist had any problems with it. I then spoke with the dentist after my cleaning to finish the appointment and he mentioned that I would be able to get it fixed at the orthodontist downstairs. He wrote me a referral and I subsequently made an appointment. When I arrived, I asked the front desk to confirm that I would be able to have it fixed. They relayed to me that they would only be able to remove it and create a plastic, removable retainer. They do not fix or place permanent retainers. At this point, it was at least two weeks after my cleaning and my teeth began to shift. I then walked upstairs into the dentist office, waited for the office to open, and then asked to speak with the manager. The women at the front desk informed me that he was not there, so I was given his business card. I emailed him and he did not reply. I followed up again, and he told me that he would pass it along to his superior. I emailed again to follow up and got no response. I have since emailed many times with absolutely no response. In the meantime, I was making phone calls all in the Boston area and beyond, all with estimates of $500+ to repair/replace my permanent retainer. Ultimately, I was able to return to the Cape to the orthodontist that originally placed it paying $300 out of pocket. I informed T Station Dental, with again, no response. As a dental practice, you cannot be breaking anything in patients’ mouths and not taking accountability for your actions (because sending the patient to an orthodontist that you know will in fact *not* repair or replace the fixed retainer you broke does not count). Leaving patients to come out of pocket for damage you caused is unacceptable. I’m in graduate school and currently with Mass Health, so this was a big expense."

"TL;DR - their hygienist broke my permanent retainer and the office failed to take accountability for the damages. I am incredibly disappointed with my last experience at the T Station Dental Group. I was there for a routine dental cleaning. The hygienist working on my teeth seemed inexperienced and although his cleaning felt aggressive and was causing me discomfort, I was willing to bear through it thinking it would be over shortly. When he asked me to close my mouth to suction out the water after rinsing, I felt a sharp object poke the roof of my mouth. Feeling around with my tongue, I realized that he had broken my permanent retainer off two of my teeth resulting in a sharp metal wire sticking out uncomfortably in my mouth. There was zero communication from the hygienist that he broke it. When I asked about what happened to my retainer all he said was, “they will fix it for you.” He did not provide an explanation for what happened and quickly ushered me out into the lobby. As frustrating as that experience was, the follow up with the office manager was exasperating. I was given a referral to the orthodontist in the same office building and was told the expense to remove the remainder of my retainer and to replace it (approximately $300) was to be paid out of my pocket. I returned to the dentist office and asked the office manager if they can take responsibility for breaking my dental gear. He said it was unlikely the hygienist’s fault and that it was just a result of natural wear and tear but he would contact the orthodontist to figure something out and then call me. I waited over 2 weeks for a response and decided to go in person and ask about it. The office manager said he had talked to their “director” (but failed to reach out to me as he had promised). The director decided they will not cover a replacement for my retainer. I am in disbelief over the lack of patient advocacy and accountability of this office. As much as I emphasized that the retainer was damaged in their office due to their hygienist’s aggressive cleaning, the office manager attempted to gaslight me into believing me that my retainer (which I have been told by previous hygienists is glued down extremely well) was just old and worn. Please do not go to this office, even for the most basic of your dental needs. In the case where something goes wrong, they will avoid liability and leave you helpless."

"I’ve been coming to T Station dental for many years, and have believed that the service is slow, even up until my moment recent visit which was last week. (Dr. Sweeny is wonderful though!) However, today I had a wonderful hygienist, clean my teeth, probably the best hygienist I’ve had since I’ve been going to T Station dental ever. Thank you SO MUCH, SHAI! she was quite literally the only person there smiling with a great positive attitude. She was also quick and efficient, kind and did a wonderful cleaning. She is a GEM! The people in there could definitely learn from her charisma and contagious positive energy."
