Fleur Cuisine Harborside - Rockport

"BIG NO to their seafood! I liked the atmosphere of the place and it has a great ocean view. The price was okay too. We came for their seafood but I didn’t enjoy the seafood at all. The mussels tasted STALE and were even SMELLY. We barely ate any of them and left them on the table. The fries were way OVERCOOKED and seemed to be from last day’s leftover. The lobster was very DIFFICULT to open, because the chef didn’t cut the lobster shell at all and we made a huge mess trying to open and eat the lobster. The server was not attentive and seemed to be in a rush taking care of half room of the customers on the weekend and we had to wait for the server to help clean up the mess before continuing to eat. Overall it was not a great experience and I would not recommend this restaurant. To reply to the owner: Thanks for your reply! But overall still a disappointing experience: 1. It was very hard to get hold of the server so we just left the stale mussels uneaten and paid the bill without complaining about it at the restaurant. Maybe check who the server was on December 16 during lunch time and add more staff during busy hour. 2. We did ask the server for tools to cut open the lobster and waited for more than 15 mins until she said she forgot about our request due to busy hour and said the kitchen was not able to cut this for us either. She could've asked how we would like the lobster to be cut when she took our order but she seemed to be in a rush and didn't give us enough attention. I believe we left less tips because of it, even though we rarely do."

"Fantastic spot! Nice view, great staff, and even more amazing food. We really enjoyed every dish. We tried the plantains, corn, and clam chowder as appetizers. Lovely pairings of flavors across the board. Our entrees were GREAT. We tried the seabass, lobster burger (legit delicious), and the chicken. The picture is of the seabass…we enjoyed everything else far too quickly for photos. :) Glorious! So far has been the best place for food, ambience, and dining. This is now a must have when we’re in Rockport."

"I was blown away this week by the amazing catering done by Fleur this past Thanksgiving! We were in a terrible quandary! As a result of a family emergency, we had a last minute need to host Thanksgiving for 15 at our home. We did not know this until Tuesday!! We called Fleur and they responded immediately with extraordinary compassion and efficiency! They prepared turkey, gravy, candied sweet potatoes, stuffing, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese for sixteen people that was ready for us to pick up in less than 18 hours from the first contact! Amazing! The food was delicious! It was without question the best Thanksgiving dinner of my whole life!!! (Sorry Mom!) We had leftovers for 3 days and sent home food with half the guests! I cannot believe it all turned out so well! Amazing! A true Thanksgiving miracle! We will be dining there again often! One of the best restaurants on Cape Ann! Thank you, Fleur!!!"

"I'm so glad that we discovered this place. We chose it because of the wonderful reviews and we weren't disappointed. I had a cup of the best clam chowder I ever tasted. The lobster ravioli was amazing. It had lots of lobster filling as well as lobster on top. It was served in a delicious cream sauce that was rich, but not too heavy. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed it so much that we're going back again tonight. I wonderful way to celebrate our 40th anniversary!!!"

"Strolling around the bearskin neck area, I am glad my wife discovered this place. First things first let’s start with the view, who wouldn’t enjoy having lunch/dinner with exceptional views of the ocean. This place offers both indoor and outdoor seating and both come with the incredible views. There was a bit of a wait, however it was all worth when the food arrived. Everything we ordered was great, so for folks who need to have a minimum of “hundreds/thousands”of reviews, don’t miss out on the opportunity to have some finger licking food at this restaurant. The portion sizes are good, we had to take some home to savor for another dinner. The prices are on the modest size, nothing over the top. The service was great and the hostess was also friendly, over all a great experience! Can’t wait to come back."
