The goal of refuge management is to provide habitat for native fish and wildlife, particularly migratory birds. The wetlands, fields, and woods within the refuge offer ideal conditions for a wide range of species, including avian groups, semi-aquatic mammals, deer, small mammals, insects, amphibians, and reptiles.
