Hours after the experience a manager called me and I explained the entire situation about how terrible it is that they didn’t even check if they had the permanent filling material before drilling my tooth open (borderline malpractice) and she basically told me that it’ll be fine and she’s also had a root canal before and she was okay. Didn’t offer any other assistance not even a partial refund for not getting the treatment I agreed to and signed consent to. I would give it 0 stars if I could. I went to this place after seeing raving reviews and was hoping I would have the same experience...wrong. I went in for a crown after I had gotten a root canal elsewhere. I'd like to clarify that after my root canal was done my tooth was plugged with cotton and then a temporary filling. When I came in for my crown the dentist sat down with me and informed me that I would be getting my tooth permanently filled and filed down to put a temporary crown on. I sit down and at this point he has fully drilled out my temporary filling and removed the cotton leaving a wide hole in my tooth...this is the moment where it all goes wrong. He asks the dental assistant to give him the permanent filling material, and she hands him something that he deems is not the right material. He puts cotton over my tooth while he goes and tries to find the right material, just to come back and tell me that they did not actually check if they had the material before drilling my filling out. On top of this they installed the temporary crown WRONG and I had excruciating pain for a week after getting told I would be relatively pain free. I went back hoping for an answer as to why the temporary crown was hurting so much considering that he told me I was going to be relatively pain free, and they sent me to a different dental office saying it was because my root canal failed. Upon arriving at this new dental office, they actually found out that there was so much cement UNDER my gum line that never got cleaned when gentle dental newton put my temporary crown on that it was causing my gums to stay inflamed. Oh and the pain was also caused by them putting it in so wrong that every time I clenched or bit down it was solely on the root canal tooth which (described to me by the other dentist) is like punching a bruise over and over again. I'm 22 and now I am traumatized for life because of my experience here."

"For anyone who is anxious about going to the dentist: this is the place for you. When I tell you that I was the most anxious patient when going for a cleaning and getting a crown, I mean that I was shaking and cried during the procedure. The hygienist and dentist knew and took all of the necessary steps to validate my feelings, calm me down, and complete the procedures, all while maintaining my dignity. I have been to dentists who have no bedside manner, and frankly, the experience sucked. The folks at Gentle Dental were so kind that I bought them a cake after my procedure. Never in my life did I expect to feel so grateful for a dentistry experience that I wanted to spend extra money to buy a cake for the hygienist, dentist, and other staff, but here I am writing a review about it because I sincerely cannot thank them enough for their kindness, understanding, and empathy. Not to mention that the cleaning and crown I got feel wonderful and are of the highest quality!!"
