Vibra Hospital

"If I could give no stars I would. It has been 8 years since I lost my mom. And the beginning of the end began when she went to Vibra. I don’t know where to begin. There’s not a day that goes by I don’t miss my mom. Losing her left the biggest void in my heart. My mom had congested heart failure and undergoing dialysis multiple times a week. She began having complications from the dialysis called calcifilaxis. We were expecting her to come home after rehab . She never made it back home. My sister and I began suspecting that my mom was suffering from an infection as she had all the symptoms but it seems they never even tested her for infections or treated her for any . When I asked nursing what medications they were giving her , she copped a nasty attitude with me like I didn’t have a right to know. The final straw was when my mom vomited all over herself over night and kept pressing the call button. Nursing never came instead they left my mother laying in her vomit for hours. My mom called my sister and she wasnt cleaned up until both my sister and aunt arrived. She went to Hertiage Hall for rehab and to continue her dialysis. Her condition was worsening. The calcifilaxis was making it impossible for her to even move. She was in agony from the pain. She had flu like symptoms and was transported to Baystate. Once at baystate, my mom was in and out of a vegetative state due to the pain meds. The doctors explained to us she was fighting MULTIPLE infections. It was then up to me and my sister how we wanted to proceed. The doctors said they weren’t confident that if they treated the infections if it would help because she had so manny infections she was fighting at once. Then with the calcifilaxis she would have no quality of life and would be bed ridden. Anyway if Vibra had caught the infections when we her family began questioning it then maybe she would’ve had a chance or at least not suffered. They’re incompetent. Don’t put any of your loved ones there! They won’t get the care they need and they don’t care."

"I was very disappointed in the care my fiancé received or didn’t receive as it were at this facility. And their ongoing excuse is lack of staff and half the staff they do have is from an “agency” and when anything bad happens the director of nurses blames the agency nurses! They have no PT staff per se. I got my fiancé out of that place in 2 days and now he’s getting the therapy he needs. I would not recommend this place ever!"

"My father was in this hospital after having a great progress of health in Holyoke Medical Center fka Holyoke Hospital and in less than four days he regressed and ended in Baystate Hospital for nearly a month. I do not recommend this hospital to no one"

"Ok where do I start plz I am begging you not to go here every time I tell people that my mom is at the Vibra hospital they are like "GET HER OUT OF THERE THAT HOSPITAL IS VERY BAD" they are very low on staff and the staff is like young and don't care to take care of people Their, all they care about is what is on their phones. Every time I visit my mom she will cry " TAKE ME OUT PLZ THEY DON'T TAKE CARE OF ME" and they don't, and the doctors rush every time I am their when the Doctors do their rounds they are in a rush all the time. And the nurses neglected the people who need help. Plz don't pick this place btw ( by the way ) they keep changing the name because the hospital does NOT past the cleaning review. 0 STARS"
