"I’ve been seeing dr Barreto for years (at least 10). I cannot say enough good about her. She truly takes the time at each visit and I can tell she actually cares about my well being. I’m not there often; but when I am, she remembers the craziest details about me, my family, and my health (which proves to me she’s actually vested in our conversations). She consistently refers me to see specialists when appropriate and encourages me to play a part in my own care when things come up. Her office staff is companionate and exceeds my needs with each visit."

"I saw Dr Barreto for 3 years trying to figure out the change and discomfort in my bowels but she decided to focus on a completely irrelevant part of my medical history instead of the reason I went to see her. I am a male in his thirties, if I'm going to the doctor there's a real reason. Most of my concerns were ignored and I was dismissed. During the second year she was my PCP, I contracted Lyme disease and had the big rashes from it, very visible in Short sleeves but I basically had to force the attending physician to take it seriously. This is Nonsense! My mother was also a patient of Dr. Barreto's. She was my mom's PCP for a long time. Mom seemed to like her. Mom battled cancer a few times in her lifetime and eventually lost. I wonder how much more time she could have had if she hadn't been told it wouldn't come back. Dr. Barreto didn't send mom to be looked at again this time untill she was stage 4. Mom died 4 months after she was diagnosed. Dr Barreto also relayed what I would have thought would be protected information to me around my mother. I was stressed at how much Mom had been deteriorating and I told Dr Barreto that she is going through demetia. Dr Barreto responded by saying she does not have dimentia. I don't believe I was an authorized person to receive this information. I would not recommend Mrs. Barreto as a physician nor her office. I would recommend caution and a second opinion."
