Red Roof PLUS+ Boston - Woburn/ Burlington

"DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY CHARGE/HOLD $150 in case of "incidentals" - and then told me that it was indicated when I booked (which I saw *no where* and I'm pretty tech savvy. Maybe the notion of incidentals is kind of realistic when you see that the place is a mess (walls cracking, sides of floor and ceiling dirty and cracked), reeks of pot, heard rap music blasting all night. The elevators and hallways remind me of a back alley in nyc. Stay here if you enjoy taking your life into your own hands. (I'm a single female that was looking for a safe place to stay while in town one night but now unsure if I'll actually be able to sleep). guess I'll have to check my account for the next ten days to make sure they give back the $150. That's quite a large amount when most hotels I stay at just keep your card number for this kind of thing. (Or $50 at most) Implications abound. I'll be warning folks I know not to stay here. This should be clearly stated when booking. No shampoo or conditioner in bathroom. Black hairs everywhere on floor and in tub. Keys didn't work properly for the door. Too afraid to leave the room to ask for anything because of shady characters outside. (Their responses sound like ai bots that address nor change anything that is an issue, as you can clearly see by the many negative reviews)"

"Stayed one night mid week. On arrival I was notified that they require a $150. deposit. The property overall is outdated and worn out. The room was updated but the mattress felt like it came from a dollar store. The rest of the furniture was equally as cheap. There was a unmarked partly sealed white box on the counter that seemed to contain some snacks (didn’t dare to open it). They didn’t have any signage or labels to identify if this was complementary or not. All night I could hear people from other rooms. I had taken a chance on Red Roof for the price and location, but will not make that mistake again."

"A very bad experience. The hotel itself is dumpy and aged and stinks of cigarettes and weed. The rooms are OK but not worth the price. They took a deposit and didn't return it. I had to call over 10 times. Guest services told me they were investigating and would call me back. Finally one week later I was able to talk to the hotel. They simply "forgot" to refund me."

"This was a horrible experience! I recommend that you sleep in your car before staying here. They are housing the illegals here who, run up and down the hallway, yelling, cooking food in their room, smoking in their rooms. It was total chaos and very unsafe. Food spilled all over in the hallway, unsanitary! When we talked to the lobby they did not offer concern or stop any of the issues. An apology would not make this situation better, because they wouldn't do anything during our stay, but brush us off, a refund that was refused would have made it better. If I was Red Roof Corporate, I would be concerned of your brand image. Do not stay here!"

"During our 6 night stay, there were a couple of times where I had to ask for more coffee, cups etc. The maid service failed to make the beds and replenish above items on occasion, and the floors were sticky for the entire visit. The washing machines were very close to our room and the noise from the people hanging around or wandering down the corridor late at night was very annoying. Location wise it was pretty good within a stones throw of the interstate to get to Boston, and supermarkets and food establishments. We really liked Boston and would definitely return, but would look elsewhere for accommodation."
